Every Saturday morning this summer children can head on over to Jack’s Marine for a pirate adventure they’re sure to enjoy.

The best part of all: It’s free.

The program starts each week at 10 a.m., when the kids are given a mission that includes the history of a location and a task to complete at local places like Sylvester Manor and the Shelter Island Historical Society.

When they bring their answers to Jack’s — they have until Friday to complete everything — they are rewarded with a pirate coin.

On August 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jack’s will host a pirate party for participants.

The adventures begin tomorrow, July 4.

Call Kim at 631-749-0114 for more information. Jack’s is located at 188 North Ferry Road.
