Singer Freddy Cole returned to the Dory restaurant on Tuesday to headline Shelter Island’s Jazzfest.

Lionel Frederick “Freddy” Cole, an American jazz singer, pianist and brother to the late Nat King Cole, is a long-time friend of the Dory’s owner, Jack Kiffer. Kiffer builds Jazzfest around him as the main headliner.

It was the sixth August in a row Cole has played the Bridge Street restaurant, music venue and watering hole.

“We come out to Shelter Island to have some fun, play some music and have a beer or two,” he told us earlier this month.

Shelter Island Jazzfest continues through Saturday, Aug. 15. For more information, visit shelterislandjazzfest.com.
