The Sylvester Manor farmstand was the place to be on a Saturday during the summer.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) members picked up their vegetables, while others were buying cheese, eggs, soap and other essentials at the farmstand. All while chatting with their friends and neighbors.
One hundred and twenty-five families are members of the CSA, picking up their weekly shares on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings throughout the summer and into the fall. Farm Manager Julia Trunzo said, ‘Fall shares will be announced depending on the weather and crops.’ For more information, call the Manor at 749-0626.
The farmstand is still open from Thursdays through Sundays.
Stephanie and Sam Lebowitz were among the volunteers who helped members choose and weigh their veggies.
