Another New York City restaurant appears to be expanding out east.

The Daily News is reporting that New York City billionaire Ron Perelman is opening a restaurant in Sag Harbor.

Perelman has reportedly purchased the entire building on the Sag Harbor wharf that once housed B. Smith’s restaurant and currently houses Harlow East. The waterfront restaurant space was leased last summer to the Harlow outpost.

Perelman’s new Sag Harbor eatery will be a satellite location for his Upper East Side French restaurant Le Bilboquet. Perelman is also reportedly scouting out west for an Aspen outpost for Le Bilboquet, which is located on East 60th St..

Perelman has reportedly had his eye on the Long Wharf space for some time, after opening The Blue Parrot bar in East Hampton Village in 2009.

According to the Daily News, a “seasonal” summer opening is planned this year for the Sag Harbor eatery.

Perelman is partners with Le Bilboquet owner Philippe Delgrange in the Manhattan eatery – as well as with rocker Eric Clapton.

Perhaps that means Clapton will pay a visit to the Sag Harbor location this summer?
