The Perlman Music Program announced that alumna violinist Areta Zhulla has joined the staff as alumni coordinator. She will work with the alumni network, plan activities for the PMP community and help with events on the Island.

Alumni recitals will return this weekend when violinist Randall Goosby, from Perlman Music Program’s Summer Music School, performs music by Brahms, Kreisler and Saint-Saens, accompanied by pianist John Root, on Saturday, January 23 at 5 p.m.

Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at perlmanmusicprogram.org. There is no charge for kids 18 and under.

On Sunday, January 24 at 12:30 p.m., PMP invites everyone to a fun-filled musical event, “Family Music and Fun.”

A free Works in Progress concert will take place later in the day, at 2:30 p.m. Reservations are not required; seating is first-come, first-served.
