Holiday Open House & Santa’s Workshop

Come enjoy a fun filled day of festivities at the Shelter Island Historical Society on Sunday, December 4 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Shop for holiday gifts made by Shelter Island artisans in the Havens House gift shop. There will also be craft activities for children and adults, hot chocolate and snacks, a sing-a-long, plus meet Santa in his workshop inside the Havens Barn. 

This event is free, but donations are appreciated and visitors are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy that will be given to a child in need.

Friday Night Dialogues

Actress Jennifer Maxson will present her one-woman show, “7T: Confessions of an Early Boomer” at the Shelter Island Library on Friday, December 2 at 7 p.m.

St. Nicholas Day Fair

Shop handmade items, crafts and other goods at the annual St. Nicholas Day Fair at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, December 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will also be a silent auction and raffle items. Then get ready for a visit from Santa himself from 11 a.m. to noon.

Fourth Annual Tree of Lights

Come to the annual Tree of Lights ceremony at the Shelter Island Library on Saturday, December 3 beginning at 2:30 p.m.

The Tree of Lights is a Christmas tree decorated and lit in memory of loved ones who have passed. Sponsored by East End Hospice, the interfaith ceremony will take place in front of the library. Refreshments will follow the ceremony.
