A quintet of Victorian-clad carolers helped kickoff the Shelter Island holiday season during the Chequit‘s second annual Christmas tree lighting on Saturday.
Santa visited the historic inn to pose for photos with locals and light the 15-foot tree. Children decorated cookies and ornaments.
The Chamber of Commerce also hosted its Island-wide holiday stroll that same night.
