While September signals the end of summer, you can still enjoy a summer tradition like Lobster Night on Shelter Island.

Those delicious, succulent crustaceans are available at three local restaurants.

Bob’s Fish Market will serve lobster every weekend from now until Columbus Day weekend. The restaurant has reduced its days open to Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but the seafood hasn’t been scaled back.

A lobster dinner includes: melted butter, choice of potato, cole slaw and a bread bowl for $28.95.  Bob’s Fish Market is located at 87 North Ferry Road. It’s open Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 8:30 p.m. and Sundays from 5 to 8 p.m. 631-749-0830.

At Commander Cody’s, Lobster Night is every night at this popular seafood spot. Eat your lobster in-house or take it with you. This seafood market and restaurant is open seven days a week and serves lobster every night for dinner, which includes a quarter pound lobster with lemon, butter, cole slaw, cornbread and corn on the cob for $28. They will also prepare your lobster for take-out. Plus they also sell live lobsters if you want to cook them yourself at home.  Commander Cody’s is located at 41 Smith Street. It’s open Monday to Wednesday from 2:30 to 9 p.m. and Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dinner begins serving at 5 p.m. The restaurant only takes cash or local checks. 631-749-1851

Thursday night is Lobster Night at the Dory. That includes a lobster dinner with a one and a half pound lobster, melted butter, corn on the cob and a baked potato all for just $19.95. Just be sure to get there soon because Thursday, Sept. 17, is the last night they’ll be serving up this summer special. The Dory is located at 185 Bridge Street in Shelter Island Heights. 631-749-4300.
